Accuracy matters more than defending old copy. We welcome specific correction requests and review them against the strongest available evidence.
How to report an error
Email doggysee.doggydo@yahoo.com with the subject line âCorrection.â Include the page URL, the statement you believe is wrong, why it is wrong, and any authoritative source that supports the correction. You do not need to be an expert to flag a problem.
What happens next
- We locate the original claim and the source or reasoning behind it.
- We compare the request with current authoritative evidence.
- We correct the page when the evidence supports a change.
- For material corrections, we add a dated correction note explaining what changed.
Material versus minor changes
A material correction changes the meaning of health, safety, nutrition, behavior, product, or factual guidance. Material corrections receive a visible note on the affected page. Spelling, grammar, formatting, link repairs, and wording changes that do not alter meaning may be fixed without a correction note.
Updates are not corrections
Guidance can change even when the original article was accurate at publication. Substantive refreshes receive an updated date. If the earlier guidance was materially wrong, we label the change as a correction as well as an update.
Disagreements and unresolved evidence
Not every disagreement proves an error. When reputable sources conflict, we aim to describe the uncertainty rather than manufacture a single confident answer. We may decline a requested change when the evidence does not support it, but we will reassess when better evidence becomes available.
